Back up rolls of hot strip mill need to be changed.After rolling of how much tons of steel they should be changed?

I think the less you change them, the better you are.

One of the reasons driving the need for change of the back-up rolls is the avalaibility of WR in the right diameter range. On the other hand you have a local fatigue hardening of the BUR that you need to get rid of after a certain time, if you do not want to break it.
