I am doing on the sample preparation for AFM image of hexadecane droplets in liquid mode. I am wondering which adhesion molecules (e.g. fibronectin, Poly-L-lysin, adhesin, Cel-Tak®,...) that I should use to enhance stickiness of hexadecane droplet on the glass, mica or Si wafer surface? Among glass, mica or Si wafer surface, which one is the best surface to be used to stick hexadecane droplet?

Dear Thao ho,
I preferred to use Mica for the AFM sample preparation. In the case of my experiment, I dropped twenty μl of the sample on freshly cleaved mica (Ted-Pella, Inc.), rinsed with de-ionized water, and dried at room temperature for 24 h. Hopefully, It works in your experiment. Thanks
