Hello, I am in between jobs right now. However, I have results and data from my own experiments, and I am also working on review papers as well. Since I don't have any affiliations right now, how can I publish my papers? Also, as an independent researcher, can I use my University's name or I can just publish as an "independent researcher?"
I am afraid, that you cannot use any affilation without agreement with the institution.
Dear Joshua Halder Have a look at: Dahman, K. A., Nelson, D. R., & Shnerb, N. M. (2000). Life and death near a windy oasis. Journal of mathematical biology, 41(1), 1-23. (In Google Scholar you can find a free upload).
Basically you use the affiliation where you performed (most of) the work and add an extra line with in your case something like "current address: independent researcher" etc.
