Hi! These expressions have both more defined (but slightly different) meanings and more general, open for interpretation. An important element us that it takes more than one agent to run some interaction, and both students and teacher must be active of course. Therefore ”teaching” cannot be interactive in a vacuum, someone is needed to interact with. Furthermore, teaching is very often called learning, as in ”distance learning” - because people, when they learn something, learn where they happen to be, not on a ”distance”.
All this becomes easier if we think of Vygotskij’s ”Obuchenie”, the ”teaching-learning activity”, when teacher, learners and peers interact.
Is a method used in education and training that depends on the interaction between the students and the teacher, as well as on the interaction between the students.
· Encourages learning because of the active participation of students in the acquisition of knowledge.
• Strongly sustains information because of participation.
· Increases the amount of learning as concepts become more difficult.
• Learning through the work of the group or team.
· The professor is not a lecturer but a workshop chair.
Research has shown that the method of interactive learning is a very effective way to capture the learner on important skills. One of the most important skills is effective thinking to solve problems.
Elements of interactive learning
The success of interactive learning depends on several elements, the most important of which are:

More or less but they are different. Active learning could mean in discussions, questions and answer, being present always and following instructions, interactive, take not of e-learning or online learning, the learner is expected to collaborate, with the teacher and the students, click on all the links necessary and respond to instructions, get information and upload what is necessary or required. What did i just say?
Active Learning is defined as any strategy “that involves students in doing things and thinking about the things they are doing.
Active Learning includes a range of teaching and learning activities. These strategies, supported by decades of classroom research, may be thought of as a continuum from low risk to high risk for both teachers and students. Such a continuum may include (but not be limited to) strategies such as some of the following:
involving students in well structured question and answer sessions in lecture classes.
individual think and write exercises, such as the pause technique or one minute papers.
pairing activities such as “think, pair, share”.
interactive seminars.
case studies.
Highest risk processes may include such carefully structured small group based strategies as some of these more familiar ones:
In keeping with the above definitions and discussion, I think this debating example can be seen as active learning (students posting up their view to support their side of the debate in home forum) and interactive learning (students cross over to opponents' forum, to rebut their response): Conference Paper Debating: A Dynamic Teaching Strategy for Motivating Student...

Active learning is depending on student involvement. However,I dont think that one student's participation in the learning process is not active learning. But interactive teaching involves at least two students communicating.
No, they are not the same. Active learning is possible without any type of teaching. But, they are connected in some teaching situations. We suppose that interactive teaching ensures active learning.
They go hand in hand but they are not the same because active learning is when the person being taught becomes creative and relates current information to past experiences to solve a problem or answer the questions asked and interactive teaching is when the teacher asks questions that will activate the learner's mind to give responses that are relevant and this allows the learner to engage by asking questions from the teacher for clarity and better understanding.
Both may be related but different. Interactive teaching can be one way of achieving active learning, So active learning is broader than interactive teaching and may incorporate it.
There are 8 strategies that will help students talk more openly, think more creatively and — ultimately — become more engaged in the process of learning.
1. Reciprocal questioning.
2. Three step interviews.
3. The pause procedure.
4. The muddiest point technique.
5. The devil’s advocate approach6. Peer teaching activities.
