Hi!

I have currently activated carbon fibers and i would like to make electrodes out of them for a supercapacitor.

They are in solid state, like cotton, and what i have read about it says that i should add a binder (I have PVdF) for making a slurry, then spraying it on something (aluminium foil, for example) and then heating it for obtaining the fine films. My question is with what should i mix the solid PVdF that i have for being able to form the slurry with the activated carbon, i have found many solvents like DMF, NMP but i really need something that's not toxic and easy to handle, also the parameters of the solution like temperature and ideal way of stirring.

Any help would be super useful for me, thank you!!!!
