Acetyl Bromide Soluble Lignin Assay samples?

I am currently carrying out an acetyl bromide soluble lignin (ABSL) assay adapted from Barnes and Anderson, 2017. This assay takes 5 days to carry out the extraction completely, therefore I am restrained by lab opening hours. The protocol notes that after the addition of glacial acetic acid that the reaction is complete and stable. I am just curious as to how long these samples are stable prior to obtaining absorbance measurements. I will have the samples finished for Friday, so should the samples be stable till Monday?

Any information from persons who have carried out this assay before will be much appreciated.
