Recently, many PhD candidates complaining about academic bullying, where SV - delay their proposal defense/VIVA for a long period of months or years, ignore their submitted works or thesis and keeping silence for a long time without action/feedback, refused to meet up for discussion, screaming or shouting to candidates for mistakes or misunderstanding...how should we overcome this problem? Is there any channels or procedure which is proper to voice out our suffering and pain?
I understand your pain. In fact I have come across many students especially MD/MS students in Indian medical education system, where the students have been victim of academic bullying. Many of the Professors unnecessarily delays, modifies dissertations / thesis, bargain for even bribe in terms of monetary or gifts, threatens indirectly for failing them in final assessment / examinations. Although most of the institute will have some system in place for reporting bullying, but students usually do not come forward (due to concern about harm during examinations / assessment). I feel students should at least report it after the examinations are over and administration should bar such professor from taking subsequent students as well as demotion. However, in India, most of the students forgive and forget. Also, Indian Medical education system do not have adequate numbers of post-graduate teachers, so, administrations are also reluctant to take action against such faculties. So, if we our self do not change, it is difficult to end this. I mean it can not be ended by only legislation.

Luis Rodrigo sir, The main problem is that the chief of the department himself/herself is very much associated with it. So, it becomes very difficult to get justice.
