A lot depends of the geographical location of your structure and in dependance of that you would create a mixture of different energy sources which would deliver energy most of the time. Possibilites are following, classic renewables:
- Wind -> obtain wind data of the region
- Solar -> obtain data about annual solar radiation
- With a solid connection to the soil, maybe geothermy might be an option
A strategy of those would be a a mixture of those (and probably others), combined with a performing energy stockage system, with which the actual energy production is decoupled from the actual energy usage
I'm not an expert about algae, but you might consider transforming algae to biodiesel and use this - however you have to do the numers and see how much energy it takes to produce the diesel and the economic part is not negligible neither.
