Is there any study evaluating bioactivity of the extract of "Anemopaegma arvense" (Catuaba) on the larval stage of insects (eg, in Spdoptera frugiperda larvae)?
In Brazilian herbal medicine today Catuaba is considered a central nervous system stimulant with aphrodisiac properties it has a long history of use in herbal medicine as an aphrodisiac and is the most famous of all Brazilian aphrodisiac plants. Catuaba is extremely effective for the male sexual organs and increases circulation and libido.
It is a small tree and produces yellow and orange flowers. The genus Erythroxylon also contains a few species which are a source of cocaine but this does not include Catuaba!!
