I want to simulate a uniform stress condition in the vertical direction on the surface of a spherical particle.
Since it is very difficult to describe the boundary conditions of a complete sphere, I am considering the 1/8 sphere model.
In particular, in the case of the hollow model with an empty space in the center, a stress band occurs in the radial direction, but an unusual analysis result is derived when a full sphere is analyzed under the same boundary conditions.
The 1/2 and 1/4 sphere models shows the same result, but I am not sure where the problem occurs. Papers and lectures have hardly ever dealt with a full sphere model, so I am having great difficulty in solving it.
