ABAQUS Explicit Time step is too small?

Hi,

I am having an issue with ABAQUS timestep been too small for explicit analysis. It has reached 10e-12 and is constant. Is there any way the timestep can be increased for faster computation?

How can we use mass scaling in ABAQUS?

Hi , you should use mass scaling options in Explicit Dynamic Step definition.

For example define for ABAQUS if the time step is below 0.0001 then scale the mass. There are other options also available that I recommend you to read the documentation of ABAQUS especially try some examples that have used mass scaling then do the same on your model. Good luck!
