I believe that your results can be interpreted as a periodic behavior.

Vyacheslav G. Rybin Thank you for your response. As suggested, I will recalculate the Lyapunov exponents with the reduced step size.

My question is not for any specific system. I wish to know the infimum value of the positive Lyapunov exponent for a system.
