Yesterday, a male scientist at CERN, the Italian Prof. Strumia, insisted that physics was "built by men," and not by invitations to women.

Today, it has been announced that for the first time since 1963, a woman will receive the Nobel Prize for Physics. This is Prof. Donna Strickland from the University of Waterloo, in Canada.

Is this just coincidence? Or should we suspect some manipulation of the media?
