In simple word we can define six sigma i.e. 0 defect. Practically which is not possible. As per the mathematic derivation we have found the value of 6 sigma is 99.996 which is almost equal to 100% quality almost 0 % defect but if we increase the no of quantity defects will increase. In 10 lakh pieces it will become 3.4 that means 3 to 4 defect pieces will produce in every 10 lakh. Generally 93 to 94 % quality product can be achieved in 4 sigma which generally followed by all the big manufacturer and 5 sigma gives approx 97 % good quality product. To achieve 999.996 i.e 6 sigma manufacturer need to do hard wark. It will become sophisticated, Complex process to achieve it and also increase the actual cost of the product. Question is why we concerned towards these complex process which affect on the cost of drug. Better to have other option or atleast pay attention on the increase cost of drug.
