What could be the best solvent to dissolve plant wax for antimicrobial disc diffusion and antioxidant assay?

I want to perform antioxidant assay using DPPH solution. Is it fine if the wax solution is a bit turbid for DPPH assay. Since, turbid solution does not work for antimicrobial assay for me.
