Cross-linking agent to crosslink Psyllium husk to Gelatin?

I want to cross-link Psyllium Husk to Gelatin . I have tried EDC crosslinker but that is cytotoxic . I need any chemical or enzymatic crosslinker which is non-cytotoxic to cells.
