Is it necessary to give the Rf value in HPTLC analysis or the fluorescent banding pattern is more than enough?

I have a HPTLC plate but Rf value was initially not considered. How can I justify my findings? Will be the fluorescent band of the sample which matches with the standard is more than enough?
