Does anyone have experience of using 4 arm 2kDa PEG MAL sold by creativepeg?

I'm trying to make a gel using 4 arm 2kDa PEG MAL and 1kDa PEG dithiol (the cross linker). I can make gels using 10 and 20 kDa PEG MAL, but not with 2kDa Peg Mal. Is there a procedure i can follow?
