Did anyone experience a decreasing growth rate of Staphylococcus aureus in human monocyte-derived-macrophages?

I'm using the very same stock of S.aureus but, in the time course of my infection experiments in human MDMs, the CFU absolute number in the control cells is contunuosly decreasing.
