Can anyone recommend a DNA extraction protocol for sweet cherry (Prunus avium L)?

I have tried using the Qiagen Plant Mini kit and a CTAB method to extract DNA from cherry buds but I am finding it difficult to get high yeilds and good quality DNA. Can anyone recommend a method?
