XRD on creamy samples?

Hello,

I would like to investigate the crystallinity of some skin cream samples. I know hot to prepare the XRD mounts for powder materials, but I have never used creams or gels. Dou anyone know the exact procedure? I though of applying a small amount on a glass slide, as we do for the oriented samples. Is this sufficient? Thanks
