Do parents try to influence their kids to select majors that are similar if not the same as theirs, either intentionally or not? If such influence exists is it a positive or a negative one. I am sure some of you had that experience and would like to know your opinion.
I encourage and influence my kids on learning programming since kids who know coding will able to communicate, be innovative, and solve problems more efficiently.
But I don't influence them to select majors similar to mine.
I will let them choose what they aspiring.

I try my level best at peak point to show the doors of knowledge.
It is their duty to select the door according to there mind and heart.
Most importantly, I insist them with love that be honest ,truthful and sacrifice your life in serving humanity.
