For the intermediate phases our results were not fitting with the literature that is why we are doing ab-initio approached to understand why. This article will be also available soon.

Having checked the now available supplementary, I can see that at the Na0.5Sn electrochemical composition, the XRD pattern matches beta-Sn (2 strongest lines) + an unknown phase, as observed before. In fact the phase has several more diffraction peaks, and we identified a minimum of 15 independent reflections for this phase, as visible in Fig. 6b and Fig. S10 in the ESI in the spectrum with the Sn and Cu signals subtracted:

I think another phase is simply phase for Na/Sn

DFT calculation are in progress in our laboratory and we will further investigate those points in our next paper :) Be patient, for some points we agree for some others we don't :). We also have collected high resolution XRD, neutron diffraction and XAS etc... Hope we will all finally find the Sn mystery story....
