Good day folks! I'm currently exploring alternatives to colorimetric analysis for the determination of phosphates in water. Would the Quimociac technique work for this application? Normally, I'd use colorimetric determination, but our lab does not have a spectrophotometer. I know that it isn't for water but, if I understand the chemistry of the quimociac technique correctly, it should work. However, I'm concerned that the relatively small levels of phosphates in the sample may lead to erroneously high results. Any feedback or advice in this matter would be greatly appreciated.
