Dear Reiner,

There are technological solutions for almost all environmental problems. Yes, ozone hole can be filled by man-made ozone. Rather, there is a natural process to do it naturally. The moot question is how one would stop ozone depletion as it has to do with pollution and natural mechanism takes this pollution in the stratosphere where it breaks O3 into o and O2. Therefore, before filling the ozone hole, it would be better to think to reduce pollution.

The ozone hole is caused by a catalytic like degradation of ozone in the darkness of the polar winter by halogens. If you could supply ozone in extreme quantities it would just be degraded too.
