My first view is that the West is failing to understand the importance of this aggression and the great necessity in defeating it. Playing politics as Trump does in the face of this terror is deplorable. MAGA was and is the most atrocious movement in the US since the American fascist movements just before and during the 2nd WW, and people have very short memories regarding Trumps alliance with Putin. While there are fears there about Bidens apparent growing senility, Trump too has demonstrated failing cerebral capacity. While incompetence has been raised regarding Biden, many who worked with Trump when he was President say his was natural and not due to failing ability, but was part of his normal nature. Like Boris Johnson power was what he required and he cannot apply himself to day to day problems. If he applies his remedies to the war, unless Putin can be forced to keep step, it will end up as another frozen conflict.
