It is a sure thing and relevant to have as many official dialects. The reason being that languages protect the culture of a people. A loss of language is a loss of culture. In Africa culture is important as it keeps the community intact. The los of a dialect in any society is a loss of an important tressure. Dialects are like treasures that make a society unique. So I feel they can be many official dialects. The other reason is to remove ethnocentrism they is no dialect above other dialect. Each dialect ha its uniqueness and needs to be a protected. This is the uniqueness of cultural diversity.

When we all speak one dialect it is okay but not unique. We need the diversity because it brings out the beauty of a people. In this universe they exist Africans, Asians, Europeans, Americans and Australians,unique as we are we make the beauty of the universe, to be felt. This is why we have different trees different flowers, different types of grass. So are dialects. Diversity brings joy brings alive life and gives value to a culture. Preserving a dialect is key. Pope Francis of the Roman Catholic Church says, "cancel culture is invading many circles and public institutions," as a result agendas are increasingly dictated by a mindset that rejects the natural foundations f humanity and the cultural roots that constitute the identity of many people."

So, all in all what i am saying is that dialects are important and are key to improving our society that we live in today. having one dialect as the many official dialect is okay, yet limited. We do not need to constrain ourselves especially in things to do with what builds and holds together a Culture of a people. I am of the view that we need to preserve each and every dialect, for the uniqueness of what each of dialects hold. Lets not limit a human being to only one mode of culture.
