On the other hand, widespread reliance on AI could lead to a decrease in critical thinking skills, originality, and the value of hard work. What are the potential benefits and drawbacks of integrating AI in research, and how can we ensure that AI is used in a way that complements human creativity and innovation?
With the introduction of AI technologies, we can expect for statistical and data processing tasks will take significantly less energy as these systems can perform tasks increasingly faster. Additionally, in the future we can expect for AI to be able to write at a higher-level and more concise which can fit in research or reports. In my opinion, usage of AI can reduce tasks humans already know how to do, and as long as data is human-driven (in most cases) and commentary is from researchers, I see no problem in the involvement.
