Currently, many self-steering models and systems are in their development phase ("Internet of Things") for logistics. But basis logistics management questions are probably overseen or neglected in the current first wave implementation projects, e.g. the posed question about the incorporation of quality control processes. The example stems from a German logistics service provider working for a food OEM regarding picking and quality control processes (to be switched to automated processes).
For example, in tourism supply chain management, the first is without doubt the existence of international norms and standards in the fields of technology and quality (e.g.: ISO, HACCP, JAR, IOSA). The existence of standards makes it possible to measure and compare the different providers required, so as to take fewer risks with them and to be consistent with the products offered. Using these standards and norms mainly requires correct use of technological interfaces, but also the management of relational interfaces. Furthermore, most of the actors observed continuously aim at providing the consumers with more choice. Is it a stand alone an customize system. Because from what i know if you are using SAP business One,Oracle e business suite or infosys, its not in development but already in maturity level. As the basic of inventory management as well as supply chain management well control plan and can be analyze. But is all software is not for free. If you want to try low cost you can have Openerp from tinyerp development. Inventory supposed to be integrated with other system in an organization to be able to run effeciently and effectively.
Back to the question, if it is integrated of course it will incorporated the logistic process from logistic anf procurement. But if its stand alone it will not, what to concern is what kind of IOT that your going to use?
