Hi, I recently decided to start doing my work in the area of artificial intelligence and learning machines using the anaconda platform, due to the good reviews I found on it. However, since I am new in this environment, and I want to make applications as soon as possible, I would be grateful to help me with information on the most documented packages as well as the best developed in this environment. I appreciate your help in advance. Greetings.
I use Spyder IDE.
for packages, numpy scipy are prereqs.
pandas for data manipulation.
sklearn for general machine learning algos.
nltk for NLP.
for deep learning: lasagne plus theano/tensorflow backend (I have used theano on PC successfully)

For my experimentations I use Python and some libraries but for me the best still Scikit-learn for general machine learning and Tensorflow for deep learning ... Most of the them need Scipy and Numpy as prerequisite. Both of them can be used in Windows and Linux environnement.
I suggest to use the package manager pip and install all the python package and ensure to get the latest updates.
For quick result use TensorFlow. one can write a handriting recognition in just 40 lines of code using tensorFlow. the program needs to be written in python. Though Tensor flow is build for deep learning, it is also a good platform for beginners.
I am grateful with the answers provided, have really helped me a lot to guide me in how to start in the learning machine using anaconda. At the moment I am developing my first projects so in fact your comments have been very helpful.
