H.pylori is the major bacteria implicated for PUD and its eradication helps treat ulcers. Aspirin an NSAID should not be used in patients with PUD.

NSIAD drugs are said to cause PUD, and H.pylori is and organism that is also inplicated in PUD. Starting an Asprin dose in a patient with a H. pylori infection may have a synergistic effect on the patient to develop PUD. Some studies have shown that the errudcation of H.Pylori reduces the chance of developing PUD in patients that a starting on NSIAD therapy.
