Why was and is Dionysus so appealing?

Dionysus may have been so appealing because "he was the only half human of the Olympian Gods"(paraphrased from Ducksters ). He was the only Olympian God to be half mortal. In his cult people would "do psychedelics to attempt to become gods"(paraphrased from Muraresku 2021). As everyone knows, life is not fair and full of underserved suffering. "According to Nietzsche, Dionysus's religion offered a great cope to suffering"( paraphrased from Weaver Santaniello 2007). Thus , both Apollo(Brittanica 2023) and Dionysus(Brittanica 2023). are needed and generally the former is better for civilization yet the latter offers cope to suffering.
