So many approaches being used by researcher for the advancement of nutritional profiling in pulse crop, however, transgenic approach as it known for sustainable basis for alleviating malnutrition from the world not yet been approved and not yet to develop transgenic crops in pulse under biofortification. J. C. Tarafdar Thank you sir for your valuable comments. I think one of the regulatory hurdle is also responsible for non-development of such crops particularly in food crops. I have visited HarvestPlus website and wondering the facts that has been depicted on the site that the most of the work is comprehensively done on pearlmillet, sorghum, cassava and somewhat level to commonbean and cowpea. Hence, we have only two approach either go for conventional breeding or molecular based breeding.

@ Uma, in case of pulse crops there is difficulty in developing trangenics with reproducibility due to lack of competent totipotent cells for transformations. Moreover, long period required for developing trangenics and lack of coordinated research efforts.
