Why to rest battery for some hours before performing Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscpy ?

I am performing EIS (BRS Messtechnik, galvanostatic) on cyclindrical A123 26650 LFP full cell. After setting SOC it is required to wait for some hours before carrying out EIS. I know it is to attain equilibrium.

1. Do anyone know what are all the electro chemical parameters which changes during this waiting time ?

2. How does it vary ? Increase or decrease with waiting time ?

3. As wait time increases, the overall EIS spectra (see pic) shrinks ? Any proper explanation to this ?

I am searching literature for these.
