I have synthesized AuNPs using different HAuCl3.xH2O (0.4 mM, 0.8 mM, 1.2 mM, 1.6 mM, 2.0 mM, 2.4 mM, 2.8 mM, and 3.2 mM) of different sizes.

It was observed that when the concentration of the HAuCl3.xH2O increased the value of d-spacing increased. Can anyone please tell me the exact reason behind this?

The values of d-spacing observed were as follow:

 0.4 mM=0.20 nm

0.8mM=0.22 nm

1.2 mM=0.23 nm

1.6 mM=0.26 nm

2.0 mM=0.34 nm

2.4 mM=0.44 nm

2.8 mM=0.52 nm

3.2 mM=0.63 nm
