Export a antenna model from HFSS to CST ,but the simulation results from CST are unacceptable ,they are reasonable from HFSS , Why? After importing, should I make any changes in CST?Thanks!
HFSS and CST are 3 D EM simulators based upon different computational techniques. HFSS is based on Finite Element Method (FEM) which is more accurate for designing antennas while CST is based upon Finite Integration in Technique (FIT) and is also popular among antenna designers due to ease in simulations. However results of both the simulators are not same becaue of different computational techniques involved. HFSS results are close to experimental results with more insight into the structure available. ADS is used for circuit co simulations where active components are also involved. It can be used for planar antennas as well and is based upon MoM (Method of Moment). AWR, i used while simulating different kind of filters but dont know the details of this software.
make shure that the substrate parameters are the same, for me i has tried the same structure in hfss and ADS, and i was find the same results.

Results may be different in two simulation tools( but it should not be very much off) because of multiple reasons like
1. Different Numerical Technique
2. Different geometry mesh algorithm
3. Different boundary conditions
4. Different stack-up ( substrate ) and materials
5. Different Radiation boundary ( cell padding)
