loss modulus is an indication of damping characterstics of a composite material or it indicates the amount of heat generated during damping under dynamic condition. As the filler content increases the proportion of filler -matrix interface(interfacial area) increases hence the friction generated at the filler- matrix interface incerases and the heat generated increases and thus the loss modulus.
