In polymerization of conducting polymer by insitu chemical oxidative polymerization; why sometime dopants are not used (mostly in case of PFu synthesis)?
In chemical oxidation the dopant plays a role. It may affect adversely, if proper concentration is not taken. Sometimes the product varies with and without dopant.
I am just wandering that in every chemical oxidation the counter ion of the oxidant plays the role of dopant. So, how can we say that dopants are not used. I don't understand the question? There is something missing...
Just to remind, the main feature of ICPs is that the doping process is reversible in comparaison with inorganic semi conductors...
