I attached my scatter plot which is provided for a categorical variable with 3 sub groups .I would like to know is there any errors with this scatter plots ?
See yourself on your data: you have only three X values (X = ~-0.5; 2.9; 6.4) and I don't know how many Y values, maybe 100! You plot what you sent there, computer is stupid. Analyze your source data.
This scatter plots is results of multiple regression of a categorical variable with 3 groups. The total number of each groups is as follow : N1=9032 ,N2=951 ,N3=17.
Fatemeh Meschi, answering your question, there is no error in your plot. You have what you asked to plot. You have Y1(X1), Y2(X1),...Y9032(X1) and similarly for the second and third groups. So your plot is correct. But it is clear that your first group can be presented as Y(X1,Z1...Z9032), where Z is some additional parameter of your system, which you know, but I don't know. Similarly can be presented second and third groups. It seems that you like to draw complete 2D dependencies: Y(X, Z), but to have it you should use set of Z values and corresponding 2D plots.
