Why on doping does the transition temperature decreases in BiFeO3?

Generally, on doping BiFeO3 system with divalent or trivalent ions the transition temperature decreases. What happen to the system which lead to decrease in transition temperature. Can anybody tell me the reason of this effect which we observed?
