do publish your researches in highly indexed journals; web of sciences is the place of scientific studies( but western dominant ideology is there ;what to do dear
Does your question mean the following? "Why is my newest research article not be cited in other publications yet? I'm asking if the new research article needs months or more to be cited in the reference sections of other publications. Why my article is not supported by other publications?"
If the above paraphrasing of mine is correct, my answer is as follows: It would take a rather long time, more than a year for example, for a new article to be cited in other publications because the following processes are necessary: Someone finds that the contents of your article have a close relationship to, and are useful for, her/his research; she/he continues her/his research, writes a manuscript citing your article, and submit it to a journal; reviewers of the journal decide that the manuscript is worth for publication; and finally the manuscript is printed in the journal.
I also have the same problem. I publish one paper in 2016 and after 6 months the citations and other record updated on researchgate. Its not a problem with publishing to high Impact and SCI journal. Now I again publish one paper with an IF of 2.667 and its SCI journal. the citations are still not updated for the new paper.
Decided to wait like before. or just focus on Google scholar citations. Research gate is usually slow in updating the references and citations.
When selecting the journal name, there are two names appear, the first has a print ISSN while the other has an online ISSN. I believe that you have to select the journal name that includes an online ISSN as shown in the figure from Springer Building Simulation Journal
I had the same issue and Research Gate didn't identify the references from some of my publications, in one case the whole bibliography section was ignored. It seems that sometimes RG doesn't see the references when a publication is long. Here is a potential solution. Create a file that just contains the title of your paper, the abstract or a short fragment, and the references. Upload this file instead of the publication. RG should now identify the bibliography and you should see the number of references quoted in your publication. Once this happens, replace this file with your actual publication.
