Neuroimaging data is precious, and sometimes not reachable by everyone.

However, the aim of scientists should be to enlarge and sharpen the global knowledge about phenomena. To do this, they should be enthusiast to share their data in order to achieve more goals.

Instead, many people when asked don't agree to share their data with people who's not in their lab. This seems to be in contrast with the global aim.

Why this happens? Does this lack of sharing really lead to some advantage for these people?
