Can someone assist me if they can please?

I just started using Forward Osmosis membrane filtration for the first time. My supervisor told me to calibrate it by determining the Volumetric flow rate using DI water in the Feed and also in the Draw solution without any applied pressure. However, I am noticing the Mass/weight is changing drastically within 1-3 minutes e.g time 0= mass was 1200g and then after 2 minutes it dropped to 900g on both sides. The frequency was set at 6Hz, 7Hz and 8Hz. But after 10 minutes the mass/weight would drop by 1 or less than 1 gram until the operation was completed.

Does anyone know why the Weight changed drastically at the initial stage?
