When doing square wave voltammetry the reverse current is subtracted from the forward current to plot a differential current. The forward current being the current resulting from the forward pulse in the direction of the final cell potential, and the reverse current being the current resulting from the reverse pulse. That is, at least, how I understand it.
I have obtained the following data using a Gamry instrument using the parameters:
The data that is attached, instead, shows that the forward current is subtracted from the reverse current to obtain the differential plot.
Although this does not necessarily have a huge impact on the data for analytical purposes, I was just wondering why the EchemAnalyst does the calculation the other way around?
