After selecting a step for example static general a window will appear to you the first tap in the window upper part is basic where you put your model time period go to the next upper tap " incrementation " then increase max.number of increments to 1000000,put increment size: intial=.01 /minimum=1e-15 (that one of the main reasons for your problem)/maximum=.1
After doing the previous steps go to the menu bar in your abacqus window select:others-general solution control-edit-select your step-continue-select specify then go to "time incrementation"-select the upper "more " tab -change "IA=30" to increase incrementation iterations then click ok
