Hello, I have a question for you, my dear colleagues and advisors all over the world.
For what reason do you think the 'Prospect Theory(Kahneman & Tversky, 1980)' came to have the name, "Prospect?"
I suddenly got curious on this issue when I was introduced to the term "Homo prospectus."
Is it a mere coincidence that these wordings are sharing the same root(i.e., "Prospect")?
Or, by any chance, could they be sharing the same semantic root?
-SUMMARY-
Q1. Why is 'Prospect Theory' Named as So?
Q2. Could there be any profound connection between the two adoptions of the word "Prospect" in naming 'Prospect Theory' and in naming 'Homo Prospectus?'
(Probably we should have the fact that the latter came out much later than the former in mind.)
