The sex toy companies never guarantee that their accessories provide orgasms. They are often shaped like an erect male phallus – a long-time symbol of eroticism. But research indicates that women are not aroused by and do not orgasm from intercourse. In the past an intact hymen was assumed to be a sign of virginity. Clearly women do not stimulate the vagina when masturbating. Sadly, it is all a hoax! Like the witch doctors of the past, these are fake cures for those desperate for a solution.
Sexologist here. There are several things I would answer to this post:
1. It's not at all true that only women climax with vibrators, nor do all women need a vibrator to climax. It always depends on your arousal mode, and how you learned it (you can learn more ways!)
2. Its true however, that only classic penetration does (mostly) not make women orgasm, since the clitoris is not directly stimulated, though you can enjoy penetration (also in solo-sex), but often need to simultaneously stimulate the clitoris.
3. The "intact hymen" is a myth, it can look very different for different people. I don't really understand how this topic is also in the question?
Sexologists continue to promote a man's opinion (Freud) on female orgasm that is way out-of-date and unresearched that women are supposed to orgasm through intercourse. Women are unaware of men's mental arousal and so they conclude that only physical stimulation is required to achieve orgasm. Men don't use vibrators for orgasm - they focus on erotic turn-ons that cause mental arousal. Any topic can be a question. I am challenging the universal sexual ignorance in society and presenting the research that has been ignored by sexologists who make money from presenting fantasies about female sexuality.
