When few people in an organization come to possess too much power, discourage divergent views, and provide no scope for alternative viewpoints, organizational values become too strong. In such a situation, the organizational values established can become so deeply ingrained that some people following them fail to see its shortcomings.
I am not quite sure what you mean by organisational values, but I definately believe that the big pharmaceutical companies do not act in the best interest of science, medicine or the welfare of patients. Pharma companies refuse to move away from SSRI's and SNRI's when "treating" depression when there is a great deal of research that focuses on Glial cells which may actually cure major depression. The simple reason for this is because Pharma companies make so much money from the standard 40 years of treatment of depression then it is not worth them actually curing the majority of depressives. Basically, money determines what medication is researched and what medication becomes available.
