While analyzing the experimental setup of tunnel soil interaction in PLAXIS 3D, I'm not getting desired transverse settlement at z=0. But I'm getting the settlement values very close to desired one at the top of the tunnel lining.
I've checked the soil properties, tunnel modelling.
And I'm giving volume contraction in the tunnel designer < Surface contraction on the top surface of lining.
Can anyone please tell me what could be the possibilities that I'm not getting desired settlement at z=0?

What is the constitutive model?
The following items should be done carefully in numerical modeling:
1. The cone of the machine shield
2. Over-excavation
3. Injection grout hardening process
4. Working face pressure and proper injection pressure
If the above items are carefully simulated, the result will be good!!
