when I write an extract command in silvaco it gives the error "can't read file 'file_name' : no such file or directory". even in examples of silvaco this message appears. how can I solve this problem?
I will attach an example that gives this error.
OK I understood we have to make an '.in' file in the directory of the project that in this file is the commands that we have wrote for extraction with 'go atlas' in first and 'quit' in the end. the name of '.in' file must be the same as '.log' file for initial extraction file.

MSG:extract cmd:extract init inf="solar.log" has size 0" simulator will be killed
If you facing problem, such as, Can't read file 'file_name.log': No such file or directory.
Then for solving this error, copy the file name i.e. 'file_name.log' and paste it in Edit/Preferences/Extract. After that run your program.
Gaurav Siddharth could you please tell me what do you mean by Edit/Preferences/Extract? When I checked, "extract" is a file of type .dat
Edit is option you will find on the top most bar, when you will open the deckbuild.
Thereafter, preferences option will be there and then extract.
Gaurav Siddharth thank you for your response. However, this alone did not work for me. When I checked the box to include "Log Extract Commands", then, it worked.
